Flatlander

If your terrain is relatively level the Flatlander will satisfy your requirements.

The Flatlander features two electric wheel engines for customers with trailer loads less than 250lbs. The wheel engines are maintenance free and extremely quiet. The Flatlander weighs 264 lbs and is 38” long and 28” wide.

Currently the use of our tractor should be limited to relatively flat land. Hilly terrain and heavy payloads present limitations to our tractor. 	Plug-in Rechargeable Batteries
	Simply recharge your Earth Tractor batteries overnight using the supplied AC battery charger and you’re ready to go! Or use a wind mill or solar panel and recharge the batteries over the course of a few days. Not only will you have a great looking yard – you will also have the satisfaction of using an environmentally friendly source of energy.

	Low Maintenance Integrated Electric Wheel
	The Integrated Electric Motor Wheel is quiet, petroleum free, and efficient. The electric motor only uses energy as needed. Combustion engines run at power levels higher than required and waste energy. The electric Earth Tractor will also save you maintenance time and money. Maintenance is limited to replacing the batteries after several years of use and occasionally cleaning and sharpening blades. Compare this with extensive maintenance of a combustion engine and the electric choice is clear!

	Remote Controlled Freedom
	We initially designed the tractor with remote control to use less energy by removing the weight of the driver. It was soon clear that our simple innovation in tractor design gives the homeowner gardener an advanced level of freedom and versatility! Picture yourself kneeling in the garden, in need of some compost, and ready to rid yourself of a pile of weeds. With your tractor’s remote control — simply radio the tractor to come closer to you and carry on to another section!

	Quiet
	Earth Tractor does not create noise pollution. With a trailer load you can hear the wheels touching the ground but no sound of a motor. When cutting a lawn with a reel mower you can hear the scissors of the mower but no combustion engine. Others can not hear you mowing the lawn from inside your family's home or that of your neighbor. Loud noise can contribute to hearing loss when it exceeds 85 decibels according to the National Institute for Occupational Safety (NIOSH; www.cdc.gov/niosh) The Flatlander, pulling a reel mower, has noise levels lower than a clothes dryer at 65 decibels.

	Gasless
	Our zero carbon tractors never require oil changes or carburetor cleaning. They are free of exhaust emissions and are odorless.

	Small Size
	By remaining as small as possible, we have maximized the maneuverability you will experience in your garden. The Flatlander is 38” long and 28” wide.
