| Do
you have any suggestions for a new owner? |
| Start
out by driving the tractor around your yard without any accessories. Once
you feel comfortable operating the tractor itself, try using one of the
accessories. Whenever you attempt a new use for the tractor, continuously
check the motors to make sure they are not getting warm. If you haul the
maximum trailer load continually, the motors will overheat. While becoming
familiar with your new tractor, learn its limitations by lightly touching
the motors to gauge their temperature. If the motors become warm you are
overworking the tractor and need to allow time for the motors to cool. This
will determine the limitations of our tractor in your environment. Proper
use will prolong the life of the tractors motors. |
| How
do I start the tractor? |
| The
first step is to unplug the charging system. Next, using the remote, turn
the key to the middle position. You will notice a continuous blinking green
light and momentarily hear a light beeping sound. On the left side of the
remote, push the green button. The tractor is now on. |
| I’ve
turned the key on and the tractor has not started? |
| The
tractor does not make any sound while parked and uses very little energy.
Push the joystick to move the tractor towards a clear direction. |
| How
fast does the tractor go? |
| Speed
is controlled with the left joystick with a maximum speed of 3.6 Miles per
hour |
| How
long will a fully charged battery last? |
| Depending
on the accessory utilized, fully charged batteries will provide tractor
power for 2 – 4 hours of use. Normal operation is not continuous so
it is very common for the tractor to be available all day. With heavy loads,
the tractor’s limitation is not the battery’s energy capacity,
but rather the motors being over worked and needing time to cool down. |
| How
do I steer the tractor? |
|
With the left joystick you control forward and reverse. To move the tractor
forward, with the antenna in the front, push the left joystick forward.
Move the right joystick right or left depending on which direction you would
like to turn. |
| Should
I disconnect the battery cables when not in use? |
| The
battery chargers are designed to be left connected when the tractor is not
in use. If the tractor is not used for a long period of time, the charger
will keep the batteries fully charged and prevent the batteries from going
dead due to non use. The battery life is extended when you charge them any
chance you can. If you leave the green battery cables connected over a few
days without connecting to the battery charger, the battery’s energy
will be consumed. If you are unable to reach the charging system for an
extended period of time, unplug the green battery cables to completely shut
down your tractor and conserve the battery’s energy. Never disconnect
the red and black connectors unless you are replacing or removing the batteries.
When doing so always unplug the green battery cables first. |
| The
tractor does not respond to joystick movement? |
| Assuming
the remote is turned on and the green button is pushed and the emergency
shut off is not pushed in, check the tractor itself. Are the battery cables
connected as described in Tractor Assembly? Are the wheels locked and not
in neutral as described in Tractor Assembly? Does the battery have power?
|
| Can
I operate my tractor continuously until the batteries run out? |
| Continuous
operation with heavy loads may cause the motors to over-heat. If you find
one or both motors are getting warm, provide time for them to cool. While
mowing, plan your cut to ensure the tractor turns in both directions. If
you always turn in the same direction and continue to circle, one motor
will work harder than the other motor and possibly overheat. |
| Why
did the tractor shutoff by itself? |
| If
the motors over-heat they will shutdown. If this happens, you have overworked
the tractor and should allow time for the motors to cool. Prior to the motors
over-heating, ensure they remain cool by checking them regularly. To check
if the motors are being overworked, touch them lightly with your hand. If
they feel warm they are being overworked and will eventually overheat. Allow
time for the motors to cool if they feel warm. If the motors have not overheated
and are cool, they may have shutdown because they are stuck and in a position
that may strain their capabilities. Manually reposition the tractor to free
any jams. |
| Can
I move the tractor without power? |
| For
your convenience, the tractor’s motors are shipped in neutral, so
you can roll the vehicle around during assembly. If the motors are now locked
and you would like to place them in neutral, unlock both motors. On the
inside center of each motor there is a slot you have to rotate using a small
combination wrench until the wheels spin freely. |
| How
do I shut the tractor off? |
| Turn
the key up on the remote to shut off the unit. Remember to plug the tractor
into the charging station to keep the batteries charged. If you do not want
to keep the tractor plugged into the charging system, you may unplug the
green battery cables to completely shut off the tractor. |
| How
should the tractor be stored? |
| The
tractor should be stored indoors. |
| Can
I drive the tractor through water or mud? |
| No.
The motors are electric and are located in the hub of each wheel. |
